Those seeking something new in David Pickard's Proms 2018 Programme might look at one innovation. There'll be a matinee and an evening performance of West Side Story on August 11th, featuring the very British John Wilson and his Orchestra, and Broadway singers Sierra Boggess and Ross Lekites as Maria and Tony. Maybe two houses helps balance the books, but it's unusual for the Proms.
