Old BBC hands note the re-appearance of a certain prolixity with each Royal birth. The latest arrival is apparently a baby boy - any other sort would clearly be bigger news. And the Radio 4 Six O'Clock News pompously reported that the baby would be "a younger sibling for Prince George and Princess Charlotte" - again, something a little older would defy current medical knowledge.
The BBC1 Six O'Clock News said that, at 8lb 7oz, "the baby is the heaviest of the couple's three children". Funny - George and Charlotte looked much bigger arriving at the hospital.
