Thin pickings for the in-house production teams of Radio 3 and Radio 4 in the nominations for the latest incarnation of the UK radio awards - the Arias.
Across 23 categories, Auntie picks up 64 nominations (45 for network radio, 19 for local radio). But Radio 4 doesn't look set for a big haul. In News Coverage, it has The High Street Abduction – Andrew Bomford for PM (BBC Radio 4); in Comedy, it has Henry Normal - A Normal Life, from BBC Studios; in Best Fictional Storytelling (drama to you and me) it has Comment Is Free (from BBC Bristol), Life Lines (from BBC Radio Drama London), Sarah Kendall: Australian Trilogy (BBC Studios Comedy) and John Finnemore Double Acts (from Pozzitive Television).
There's a nomination for Radio 4 presentation for their on-air work promoting The Archers. And that's about it. Nada for Radio 3.
