The BBC spent £3m on external consultants during four years of the myBBC project, according to a response to a Freedom of Information enquiry.

The BBC would like you to know that “The BBC, in common with other large organisations, employs consultants for specialist advice or project work outside the normal course of business and where it would not be cost efficient to maintain permanent in-house teams.”
