Mims Davies, MP for Eastleigh, is "absolutely honoured and delighted" by her appointment as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Secretary to Matt Hancock, the Digital Policy Minister at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Here's some of her cultural lodestars..
Favourite music - I'm an 80's pop girl. Adore Spandau Ballet, Madonna & INXS!
Favourite film - 'Working Girl' with Harrison Ford and Melanie Griffith. Cute and inspiring!
Miriam Jane Alice Davies, 41, went to the Royal Russell School and then Swansea University to study politics. Her biog says she "I've worked in a variety of fields in retail, hospitality, but mainly media, events and communications. Most notably for the AA, BBC and the Police." I've only been able to find some work for online yoof operation BBC Blast, but maybe readers can help.
Husband Mark is Finance Director of New River Retail, a real estate investment trust which owns and manages 33 shopping centres and 358 pubs, mainly former Marston's and Punch houses. Miriam has registered that she jointly owns shares in the company worth more than £70k. In 2015, New River donated £1,622.50 to Miriam's local party organisation.
In February, NBC Universal provided her with a ticket to the BAFTAs, valued at £600.
