Luvvies will be looking forward to a bit of media 'blue on blue' this afternoon, as Culture Secretary John Whittingdale faces a grilling from his Select Committee, led by 6'5" river-swimmer Jesse Norman, on what happens next with Charter renewal.

Whittingdale is yet to make big waves in the Brexit campaign; might he have a go at Jesse, who is apparently still undecided ? Can Big John, a serial offender on this front, resist a pop at the BBC over Euro impartiality ?  Jesse is likely to poke around Whittingdale's intentions, honourable or otherwise, with C4.  It all kicks off at 2.15pm in Committee Room 15.
