If I gave you just three file folders, marked 'Journalism', 'Art' or 'Literature', which one would you put your favourites recipes in ?

The BBC has the answer, but is not telling. Here's a Freedom of Information enquiry from the possibly-real Jack Schnitzel....

Q: 1'd like to understand what savings will be achieved by closing down the BBC recipe archive in terms of costs of services and personnel.

A: The information you have requested is excluded from the Act because it is held for the purposes of ‘journalism, art or literature.’ ....  The BBC is not required to supply information held for the purposes of creating the BBC’s output or information that supports and is closely associated with these creative activities.
