There's a new hotel option for BBC types working at, and visiting, Pacific Quay in Glasgow from next month.

The Urban Village Hotel opens its doors across Pacific Drive on July 13. 120 beds, a pool, a gym and Starbucks. It was meant to be ready in time for the Commonwealth Games. Cost to the De Vere Group is estimated at £26m "with support from Scottish Enterprise", who sold them the land.

If I were an enterprising PA at 180 Great Portland Street, I'd book the whole BBC Trust in for their next (and final ?) trip to Scotland, just for photographs of their pillow choices...
