Things take time in telly. There's no sign of an immediate major impact on the ratings for BBC America, six months after AMC Networks took joint custody. In the top 100 or so cable channels, BBC America has moved from 56th to 55th in prime time, and 69th to 65th in round the clock rankings.
With the Top Gear tap turned off, at least for the time being, this summer sees a promotional tour by a strong Dr Who team. Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, and Michelle Gomez are all visiting the San Diego Comic Con in July, along with Stephen Moffatt and producer Brian Minchin.
Troubled Al Jazeera America has dropped to the bottom of the rankings - though didn't have very far to go. Still no sign of BBC World - either it hasn't signed up to Neilsen, or it's keeping the figures private.
