Intruders is a BBC Worldwide production, originally commissioned by BBC America, alongside, we think, Kim Shillinglaw at BBC2. The credits say the series is executive produced by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner for BBC Worldwide Productions, Glen Morgan and Rose Lam for BBC Worldwide Productions and Sue Deeks for BBC Two. Sue is not from Ben Stephenson's drama team, but head of acquisitions.
Episode 1, on BBC2 last week, was watched by 0.95m; last night's second slice attracted only 0.43m. In the States, when the first episode was shown back in August, it was BBC America's highest rated launch, at 1.2m viewers.
Is it any good ? Or is this a scheduling problem ? Or are the BBC too busy pushing other drama products, like The Missing ?
Is this important ? Yes, as we nudge BBC Productions into the bosom of BBC Worldwide...
