Hotel inspector

Lord Patten has been closeted in the Domus Sanctae Marthae in the Vatican City overnight, as he meets with new chums on his media commission, working out better PR strategies for the Catholic Church.

The Domus was built in 1996 as a sort of hotel for Cardinals during the sometimes lengthy conclaves to elect new Popes; Pope Francis has opted not to live in the Papal Apartment over the piazza, but stays in Suite 201, and eats with other residents.

Is it possible our Chris could zoom through the ranks, missing out priest and bishop, straight to Cardinal, which would offer more regular trips to the Domus ?
