If you see BBC Director of Music Bob Shennan with his Beats by Dre headphones on, please do not disturb. The Director at Large of the Country Music Association is probably checking out his voting preferences in this year's Country Music Awards. The gongs are decided by 7,000 professional members in three rounds of email voting in August, September and October, and the August deadline is fast approaching.
Around the awards, on Bonfire Night this year, Bob is teaming up Radio 2 with BBC4 "to create greater impact, offer more depth and reach wider audiences" with a season called Country Legends: Nashville and Beyond. Doesn't Cassian Harrison look pleased ? Country legend Bob Harris features in a documentary called Bob Harris: My Nashville produced by the Whispering Bob Broadcasting Company.
