I'm sure I have readers who find The One Show avoidable. Last night, the shiny floor of their studio, facing the Entwistle Piazza at Broadcasting House, became too shiny; on the hottest day of the year in London, it flooded, thanks to a burst pipe, a couple of hours before transmission.
Shunning the offer of deep basement studios, the team, rather smartly, moved the sofas into the reception of (old) Broadcasting House, where, I have to say, they looked rather good. The main guest was Hilary Clinton, unavoidable on all BBC networks yesterday. What was that about "internal plurarity" ?
