Jonathan Baker, a BBC News trusty from the old days of a Radio Newsroom in Broadcasting House, is hanging up his short-sleeve shirts and exiting. Most recently, he's been head of the "College of Journalism", but attached back to News.
There, he's served as a sort of Obi-Wan Kenobi to James Harding's Luke Skywalker. Now James wields the light sabre unaided, defending his budget against the depredations of drama, arts and music.
