Exercise

Lord Patten continues his fight against the flab tomorrow, leading a procession from Exeter College to the Sheldonian in full Chancellor lycra, to mark the college's 700th year (35 accepting women).

I'm not sure who'll be carrying his train over the 594ft course, but you could assemble a decent-BBC-flavoured list from alumni, including thoughtful Will Self, Twitter Jedi David Schneider, news correspondent Rita Chakrabarti, and national treasure Alan Bennett. Exeter's Rector is Radio 4 regular Frances Cairncross.

Under starter's orders at 10.45am.
