See you, Jimmy

It's a good time to be called James at the BBC. James Purnell has arrived as Director Strategy and Digital; James Harding is easing himself in as Director of News; Jamie [surely a dimunitive] Angus is to edit Today; and today, James Stephenson has been appointed Head of News for BBC World, the commercially-funded tv news channel. He succeeds Andrew Roy.

James' current job is editor of the Six O'Clock and Ten O'Clock bulletins on BBC1, and deputy head of the BBC Newsroom.  He joined the BBC in 1988 as a researcher on Panorama.
