"Mark Thompson - The BBC Glory Years" (working title) is the tribute video that will premiere at the DG's leaving-do in less than two weeks' time. The tricky task of selecting those who will and will not take part in this tear-jerker has fallen to one Amanda Gabbitas, now running internal communications at BBC Vision. Her previous track record - largely in children's tv - will have prepared her for the stress and tantrums that may be involved.
