Year-on-year figures are the best judge of radio stations' engagement with listeners. For the BBC, Radio 4 Extra is this quarter's big success in the latest RAJAR data - up 30%.
Other significant moves - 6Music is up 12%. Radio 3 is down 16% (Note: Classic FM is also down - 11%). Radio 1 is down 6%, Radio 4 down 5%, Radio 5 Live down 4% and Radio 2 is almost unchanged - despite the newspaper headlines.
Amongst other digital stations, Radio 5 Live Sports Extra is up 19%. The Asian Network up 8% and 1Xtra is up 3%. The balance sheet for all BBC network radio is down 2.2% year on year - against all radio listening which is down 1.25%.
