Ah, the NUJ ! Committed to journalism, committed to quality publishing. The trade body for subs and, occasionally, proof readers. The union's ballot papers calling for industrial action over the BBC's imposed 1% pay deal have been out for over a week - and it's been spotted that they should have read "a trades dispute exists between 'NUJ and BBC'" rather than the printed 'BECTU and BBC'.
The perils of cut and paste ! Panic not. That nice Lucy Adams has agreed that the BBC side will not attempt a legal challenge over the outcome. Wisely. A later result might move action beyond Jubilee Weekend and closer to The Olympics.
