Simon Cowell's swoop for Alesha Dixon to be a judge on Britain's Got Talent proves there's still a wide divide between BBC and ITV fees. Strictly may look glitzy, but the celebrities are all on around £25,000 for the series - which, if you get to the final, is not a starry reward for three months' hard graft.
Alesha, who's been managed by Glasgow-based Malcolm Blair since 2007, was thought to have been the highest paid SCD judge, on a contract of £100,000. If the Mail's story of a £350k deal for BGT is close to the truth, you can see why Alesha and Malcolm took it.
If Mr Cohen wants to keep Strictly fun, Claudia Winkleman should move on to the judge's table. If he wants a dancing judge, it's Karen Hardy or Erin Boag.
