Crash, bang, wallop. Tenor Alfie Boe is taking shots at the opera establishment again - this time claiming that microphones have been secretly used in productions at London's top two opera houses.
In an interview with The Scotsman, he vouchsafes "They’ve used microphones in opera houses. The Royal Opera has but they’ll never admit it, English National Opera have too, but they’ll never admit it either because they’re too proud and too stupid."
Hat-tip to Framescourer.
