Sightings of former BBC DDG Mark Byford have been few and far between since he handed on the candle of journalism. This week has seen a guest appearance at Ryburn Valley High School, in Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax, where he was at the end-of-term prizegiving, as guest of headteacher Honor Byford.
