On the right, the opening titles of regional opt-out North West Tonight, from its new home at MediaCityUK, Salford Quays. I say "yesterday", but the new titles look very carefully composed and may have been made earlier. Will the architecture look as glitzy in 35 years' time ?
And below, North West Tonight's new set, with Ranvir Singh and Roger Johnson. Once again, the fantasies of graphic artists seem to have replaced real shots of a newsroom in the background. In theory, this set will be shared with BBC Breakfast when they arrive next year. Let's see if the theory holds.
