Casting

You know that bit where I said leading one of the BBC's "Delivering Quality First" workstreams was a living audition for a promotion ?  And yesterday, Rhodri Talfan Davies was made Director of BBC Cymru, Wales ?  Well today, Kim Shillinglaw has been made Head of BBC 3D, one element of the various tasks left after the departure of Danielle Nagler.

Kim has been a Commissioning Editor in Science, a role she'll keep; she's a graduate of Wadham College, Oxford, where she was a contemporary of novelist Monica Ali.
