Looks like another twitch in the tail of the festival of Mark Byford leaving events. A sound engineer has tweeted from the BBC Council Chamber that he's sneaking a bite of Bounty while the departing DDG's guests lunch. The hashtag is #thehavesandthehavenots. Looks like there may be speeches, and who knows, videos....
2250 Update: And there seemed to have been more guests later for drinks,in the new bit of Broadcasting House. Re-constructed from tweets, we know that Jenni Murray's mobile went off during Mark Byford's speech - the ringtone is the Archers theme. And that Mark wanted to make it clear that he was paying for the event.
