Broadcast says that the Controller of Radio 4, Gwyneth Williams, has finally decided on Harriett Gilbert as the long term replacement for Sue MacGregor on the network's book programme, "A Good Read". Harriett's appetite for literature must be unquenchable; she already copes with numerous book-based interviews on the World Service weekday arts show, The Strand, and more on the monthly World Book Club.
Also given a run round the paddock for Gwyneth's inspection were Kate Saunders (who appeared as a panellist in the very first Have I Got News For You - hair nostalgia fans, this one is a must); and BBC Salford refusenik Sian Williams.
