A newspaper reporter who tweets to 13,000 followers as Fleet Street Fox was interviewed on Woman's Hour this morning, about the challenges of a woman making her way in the business these days. It was interesting that the programme allowed her anonymity - normally reserved for more serious interviews. The BBC's own editorial guidelines say "The strongest rationale for granting anonymity is simply to protect the contributor from illegitimate retaliation, harassment or undesirable consequences for providing information".
It didn't sound like her voice was disguised - so one can expect a few more people to know who exactly she is and where she works today, as this buzzes round the Twittersphere. And more celebs will be worried that they're being followed by reporters working as couples, as the Fox explained.
