Will the audience notice ? "Easter from King's" on BBC2 tonight (Sunday) at 1745 is a slight misnomer, reveals the Telegraph. It's Easter music from King's College, recorded last Christmas, around the same time as Carols from King's. Apparently, the congregation were asked to wear spring clothing (despite a heating failure) and giant lights were stationed outside the stained glass window try to add a touch of April in December.
BBC Vision Efficiency and Creative head Pat Younge chortles "We do Carols from King's College at Christmas. And we do Easter from King's. So this year, we filmed them both back to back ... Two shows. One OB Done. We cut the cost in half."
Whilst admiring the saving, I suspect it's nowhere near 50%. But it's the sort of claim Pat loves.
Next: I reveal the Royal Wedding was pre-recorded at the time of last year's Trooping the Colour.
