The trickle of end-of-financial year leavers from the BBC is turning into a torrent. Today Kevin Gearey, whose scripts have va-jazzled more sporting events on BBC News than anyone else in history (that probably means Mike Blakey) reveals to a wider audience (than that provided by the BBC Club) that he's leaving.
And Social Media Editor Alex Gubbay is off to Johnston Press. And Home Affairs Correspondent Andy Tighe is off to the Home Office, as Head of News. Earlier this month we saw Nils Blythe leave the Business Unit for a role as interim Head of Communications at the Bank of England. And world affairs specialist Paul Reynolds hang up his boots at News Online. Would the last person, etc...
