Still at least one thing to tie down at MediaCityUK... where to go for a drink. Forums suggest a Wetherspoons might be on the way, but I would suggest that's not quite aspirational enough for Peel Media.
There is room for another restaurant, alongside Prezzo and Wagamama. I believe it's going to the Red House team running branches in Chester, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and the Gateshead Metro Centre. The brasserie concept is the brainchild of lawyer James Powell and quantity surveyor Ray Stalker. James is a Manchester City or Derby FC fan, depending on his mood; the pair are sports car and F1 fans, and there's a cheeky lad quality to their menu descriptions that will divide opinion. Their most expensive dish comes in at £27.95 - a steak and kidney pudding made with fillet steak. James was pleased to note that XFactor 2009 winner Joe McElderry dropped in at their Gateshead venue at the height of his fame; wonder whether he can still afford it...

I think thats a great idea for media city, getting in a proper eatery. I've got nothing against wagammama and have never eaten high street italian cuisine except at a Prezzo London, but a decent rstaurant is begging to make an appearance there.
