Two Archbishops and a Bishop became the first "civilians" to test out the swing-footbridge that will link the main MediaCityUK site in Salford across the canal to the Imperial War Museum North, and eventually, the ITV Coronation Street production centre, in Trafford. It cost £8.3m, and, rather neatly, spans 83 metres. So that's £100k a metre, if you're out shopping.
The opening ceremony might have looked more spectacular at night, when the bridge is lit with purple and blue highlights. And then the clerics could have made some shapes...
