Running interference

If you've ever worked in breakfast speech radio, you'll enjoy this wry piece by Radio 5Live Breakfast producer Chris Hunter.  And you'll puzzle at the hierarchy of "interferers" - levels of management who are paid more than than you, work more pleasant hours than you - and clearly have more journalistic insight than you'll ever achieve. Or you could have another system, and let the programme team get on with it.  That's the way I preferred it, and I guess, with 20% cuts on the way, 5Live might get back to it.
