Good news for Newsweek staff - the merger with Tina Brown's Daily Beast operation looks set to move them in together, in the glitzy IAC building on 18th Street, according to the New York Observer.
They'd move around four miles, from unloved Hanover Square offices in the financial district, to the west side of Manhattan, and Frank Gehry's multi-faceted "interactive" offices, located, as the agents say, "in vibrant Chelsea". The building was finished in 2007, and features a seriously long video wall in the lobby.
The "unloved" Hanover Square was initially an improvement for Newsweek staff on four previous locations in recent years. This photo-montage, however, of the furniture they use, by a Newsweek blogger, suggests they've still got some way to go in the style stakes.
