Let's hope that's not spin - Rose only joined the project six months ago, and losing the title CTO would suggest to me there's a strategic disagreement, rather than "job done, just build it". By any other name
YouView, so recently lauded by BBC DG Mark Thompson, may have hit a bump. Anthony Rose, the Aussie credited with sorting out the iPlayer for Auntie, is stepping down from his role as Chief Technology Officer for YouView, nee Project Canvas.
The YouView team says Rose will continue to work in an advisory capacity, but that the project is moving "from the concept and design phase into delivery". Let's hope that's not spin - Rose only joined the project six months ago, and losing the title CTO would suggest to me there's a strategic disagreement, rather than "job done, just build it". But I'm happy to be corrected...
