Speakerbox

Whilst Sky have got 3-D, the BBC have been experimenting with Super Hi-Vision in an attempt to reclaim the technology high ground. It should, in theory, come with 22 audio channels to play with.  And recently, boffins at BBC Audio & Music tried something called Extra High Quality Audio for some Proms broadcasts.

But that's not enough for all Japanese scientists.  Here's a shot of the speaker you might need to deliver 64-channel sound to go with 3-D.   Unobtrusive, eh ?    Via Gizmodo.
