It's about the time of year when PAs begin assembling invites to Christmas parties. I wonder if Mark Thompson (Stonyhurst and Merton, Oxford) will still extend one to Kevin Marsh (Doncaster Grammar and Christ Church, Oxford) Editor of the BBC's College of Journalism.
Kevin, alongside the equally cheeky Gillian Reynolds (St Anne's College, Oxford) and mischievous Peter Hennessey (Marling and St John's Cambridge), have decided that the interview of the year was the kebabbing of the DG by P D James, until then more famous as a novelist than an interrogator. They were judging the annual Nick Clarke interview award. The Press Gazette helpfully reminds us of its quality with a transcript.
