Things to do

Busy times for all at the BBC. Jeremy Dear of the NUJ, on his blog, suggests that there are still direct negotiations going on about pensions, rather than just waiting for a new management proposal. Mark Thompson, Zarin Patel and Sir Michael Lyons will be picking over their two and a half hour appearance yesterday in front of the Culture Select Committee. Peter Horrocks and his World Service team are clearly still trying to sort a new three year deal with Foreign Office.

In the middle of all this, DDG Mark Byford has had to hand over his Gold Commander baton for a short break, to receive an honour from the University of Lincoln. Mark is an alumni of Lincoln School, and a regular visitor to the University campus.
