The Salford Star website has been relentlessly sceptical about the employment impact of MediaCityUK on the local area. Salford Councillor John Merry has recently responded to the Star with the information that 1,521 Salford residents have found work as part of the development over the last two years, broken down as 855 skilled workers, 250 labourers, 195 management/supervisory, 16 administration and 35 others.
What will be interesting - revisiting those figures next year.
