BBC sports staff heading to Salford will be delighted to know that the Lowry Hotel, just across the canal from MediacityUK, has become a home from home for the Rooney family. Coleen started her hen night there, and in July, Wayne Rooney crept into wedding photographs taken by Kerry Morgan, whose website is doing a roaring trade today. The News of the World added to interest in the Lowry this weekend.
