Tin hat time
Fearless Danielle Nagler has engaged the blogosphere again - this time on the BBC's own house rules for HD. Up to 25% of any one programme on her channel can be "standard definition", to allow for use of archive or library shots; but all programmes will be shot in HD, and not (she says, digging at some competitors) be "uspcaled standard definition", where computers take an old programme and roughly double the number of lines. The sceptics are already commenting in droves - one terse entry "How to get the best out of HD TV ? Simple. Subscribe to Sky".
