Stadia

There's something in the air again about Everton, Liverpool and new grounds. Everton chief executive, Robert Elstone, has been heard to say there could be news about alternative sites and/or redeveloping Goodison Park in the next two or three weeks. Meanwhile, a rather odd source, Late Rooms, says the clubs, the North West Development Agency and Liverpool University have been looking at a shared ground - presumably of interest to the hotel trade in the city. And two fans groups have set up an initiative which suggests that both Goodison and Anfield should be redeveloped exactly where they are, with any extra investment being used to develop the area between the clubs, including Stanley Park, as a "football quarter".
