The Telegraph has found that the BBC spent £11,309 on a leaving party for Jenny Abramsky in the Radio Theatre. (Declaration: I wasn't invited). 540 guests - around £21 a head.
It's been estimated that the celebrations to say farewell to John Birt cost around £150,000.
