TKO

In case you're wondering why Ricky Hatton's defeat last night goes down as a technical knockout, there was no count. "I didn't have to count," referee Kenny Bayless, tells the Las Vegas Sun, "I took one look at him and knew he was out cold".

Other good quotes: "Hatton's best punch was a left jaw to a right glove" boxing writer Bert Sugar.

Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach: "This was no surprise. Hatton pumps his hands before he throws a punch," he said. "He's a sucker for the right hook, and that's what we worked on the entire camp."

But in the end it was a left that did it.
