A little off track, even for this blog, but joy for Guingamp in the French Cup at the weekend, after victory at the Stade de France over Breton rivals Rennes. Their first trophy for an age, celebrated in good multimedia style by Ouest France.
Though I've spent many happy holidays in Brittany, I've only been to see Guingamp play once. It was a pre-season friendly, and the only interesting thing that happened in the 90 minutes was a kebab stall in one corner of the ground catching fire. The game continued, through drifting black smoke - and the odour of over-done doner.
