Lost in the edit
It's an expensive tradition, but senior leaders at the BBC can usually expect a "tribute" video to be shown at their leaving party/parties. Sometimes they're inventive; sometimes misjudged; and often they fall back on "This Is Your Life" style clips. It's alleged that the video for Nigel Chapman, outgoing Director, BBC World Service, included a clip from key lieutenant, Jerry Timmins, which went along the lines "Nigel? Bullish and very rude behind closed doors." Let's hope that the bit that made that funny was just lost on the cutting room floor...
