Tina Brown's website The Daily Beast is a mixture of original content, aggregation and blog. The look and feel of the launch page is undoubtedly American, snazzy and multimedia - but has a tabloid/OK magazine familiarity. As per my first ever post, templates will eventually fall to free-form design that maximises the impact of big stories.... Next theory - daily publication, rather than hourly update, becomes the norm for big sites, to give readers a daily fix - just like them old newspapers.
