The big ones

There are many presenters in BBC News who would fancy their chances in a robust interview with former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Today, that opportunity was afforded to BBC Director of News and tyro radio host James Harding, in a recording for his current World Service navel-gaze, On Background, on air this evening at 8pm (GMT).  (The programme team might want to run a subbing-eye over the online programme billing...)

James and Tone go back; here 's a shot from The Times from June 2011, when the then Editor grilled Mr Blair alongside David Aaronovitch.
