Team Gibb ?

I am entertained by the unverified suggestion that the Government-appointed BBC non-execs were acting in consort against News' position on the Trump edit.

There is evidence of similar thinking by Muriel Gray, long-time friend of J K Rowling, and Sir Robbie Gibb:

I can find nothing to suggest Michael Plaut, hotel toiletries magnate of Llanishen, Cardiff, has expressed Gibb-approved views. Michael is the first non-Welsh speaking holder of governor-type office at the BBC in 60 years.  And there's nothing much to put Michael Smyth, member for Northern Ireland, in the Gibb camp. Mr Smyth was the partner at Clifford Chance supervising their work in support of the Hutton enquiry.
