The Panorama-branded documentary, Trump: A Second Chance? was advertised as made by indie October Films. But now it's emerged it was a 'co-production', weighted towards BBC staff. The producer/director was from BBC News; there were two executive producers, Neil Breakwell, former deputy editor of Newsnight, now with October Films, and Leo Telling, Executive Producer with Panorama.
The BBC made no contact with October Films whilst the programme and its dodgy edit were under discussion at the Board's Editorial Standards Committee, and apparently the company was in the dark right up to the publication of the Prescott dossier.
