Opinion forming

The over-excitement within BBC News about the Celebrity Traitors continues. This morning, entertainment reporter Stephen McIntosh writes up the first episode with glee: "Frankly, if Kate Garraway is on board, so are we."

But did he add the value judgement in the headline: "Celebrity Traitors is off to a cracking start" ?  Or was that one of D Turness' expert curators ?  And will these judgements, good or bad, be applied across the cultural horizon ?

  1. Oh, Bill. Don't be such a stick-in-the-mud! I like this new breeziness. Never mind culture; news journalism has become too serious - SO many gloomy stories! Why not give 'em the 'Radio Times' treatment, cheer us all up, and let BBC News blow its own trumpet at the same time? 'Trump's Middle East makeover: we reveal how POTUS kept his hair on'; 'Scorchio! Skeggy will be Britain's Costa del Sol in 20 years, say climate boffins'; 'Sneak peek behind the front lines in Ukraine: Brit missiles are a smash hit' - what's not to like?
